Physician
Dr. Karyssa Gibbs is a Texas native and grew up in Sugar Land, TX. She was a Division I collegiate gymnast at the University of Denver and graduated with a BA in Chemistry in 2005.
Dr. Gibbs went on to obtain her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in 2010. She spent my first year of residency training at Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC and went on to complete her family medicine residency at University of Buffalo SUNY in 2013. She is a board certified Family Medicine physician and practiced at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND for the first five years following her training.
She relocated to Bryan/College Station with her husband and children in 2018 in order to be closer to family. She is married to Randy Gibbs, MD who is a hand surgeon in Bryan, TX, and they have three energetic daughters. Her family enjoys being members of the community, and she is excited to be on the team at A.P. Beutel Student Health Services.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, reading, and playing tennis.
