Prospective Students
Immunizations
Texas A&M University is no
longer requiring the submission of immunization records as a
requirement for class registration. Some international students, medical
and veterinary students, and other majors may require specific
immunizations. Student Health Services strongly recommends that every
student, and their family members, review our updated list of
immunizations most appropriate for the university student. To view the list of
recommended immunizations, visit our
Immunizations page.
Health Insurance
Make sure you are insured. Some insurance plans terminate when: (1) the student reaches
the age of attainment on a parent's policy, meaning they are no longer covered, (2) the
student gets married, (3) the student becomes legally independent, or (4) the student is
studying abroad. You should also consider coverage areas and provider availability.
International students are required to have Health Insurance as well as Evacuation and
Repatriation insurance.
If you cannot register for insurance reasons, call the International Student
Services Office at (979) 845-6409.
