Free and easy to use, Health Education has a Tanita scale that will measure not only total body weight but fat, water and fat-free mass. A printout is provided as well as a brief consultation with a Health Educator.
The SHS Laboratory offers self-referral testing for HIV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. All other tests need a doctor's appointment and referral. For pricing and other questions, click here.
The Brazos County Health Department has an STI clinic that offers four tests (Chlamydia/Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV and wet prep - for yeast or bacterial vaginitis). All four test are offered for $20 (cash or check) and no appointment is necessary. Clinic hours are Monday (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm), Wednesday (3:45 pm - 5:15 pm) and Friday (7:45 am - 9:00 am).
